Job Description

An international drilling company is looking for an Offshore Recruiter to assist its global operation teams and HR partners throughout the entire recruitment process. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a thorough understanding of full-cycle recruiting, business operations, and HR functional goals. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance business efficiency by improving recruitment practices, proposing innovative strategies, and implementing policies and procedures to foster continuous advancement, productivity, and growth.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Offshore Recruitment group’s full-cycle recruitment processes using its applicant tracking system (Cornerstone) and other processes.
  • Screen, assess, interview, and select offshore candidates from established candidate sources and talent pools as required, in accordance with company requirements.
  • Manage relationship with the external recruitment partners, provide timely feedback on candidate selection status, quality of candidates, and address any questions or issues from the Partnership.
  • Identify/recommend potential new external recruitment partners who are strategically placed to source offshore candidates.
  • Build, manage, and maintain candidate pipelines, having a selection of vetted candidates ready for future needs.
  • Provide efficient and timely support to operations and local HR with their offshore staffing requirements both as part of rig start-ups and rigs in operations. 
  • Manage offshore recruitment process from initiation of recruitment to onboarding.
  • Monitor offshore recruitment trends with offer rejections and turnover and proactively propose improvements to resourcing/retention strategy and processes.
  • Actively manage the Offshore surplus list by working with wider HR organization to prioritize placement and/or disposition those employees.
  • Recommend and support establishment of new recruitment processes and procedures that drive efficiency and improvement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years in HR role with a minimum of 3 years in a resourcing/recruiting role
  • Experience in offshore recruitment is required
  • Must be willing and able to travel for one week at a time once per quarter
  • Able to apply flexible working options to support operations outside of standard working days and hours as required
  • Experience with high-volume recruiting from multiple sources, such as LinkedIn, Rigzone, agencies, and referrals
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately access candidate fit for a role and move the screening process forward
  • Ability to understand the business and HR functional goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements, productivity, and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to communicate and coordinate with hiring managers and HR Advisors on recommendation on interviewed candidates
  • Strong ability to work independently within structured processes and in alignment with global stakeholders, utilizing an applicant tracking system and other software
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration
