Job Description

A well-established internet and voice service provider has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot telco’s and/or customers’ wireless network and data networks system. The ideal candidate is a team player with knowledge of fixed wireless design, TCP/IP, and basic routing protocols. Working cross-functionally, the new engineer will drive operational excellence by effectively maintaining an optimal network engineering performance, ensuring system availability & reliability.

Location: La Grange, TX 
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor company networks to support fiber, copper, and fixed wireless needs.
  • Develop security procedures and respond to notifications to eliminate threats to network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network problems. 
  • Ensure network meets company needs for end-users by analyzing data traffic and monitoring network performance. 
  • Implement network policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company to customers, co-workers, contractors, management, and others.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge.
  • Support on-call work on nights and weekends as needed. 
  • May train users.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma and three to four years of equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology preferred
  • 2+ years of successful network troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • CBRS CPI certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN design
  • Knowledge in Fixed Wireless design
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and basic routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF)
  • Skill in using network equipment such as routers, servers, switches, and modems
  • Skill in problem solving and resolution
  • Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and information
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • Ability to function as a team player
