Job Description

A global leader in land seismic technology and manufacturing is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to install, troubleshoot, and remove hydraulic systems, components, and any other support equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter proficient with various power tools and has excellent mechanical & technical skills. Working collaboratively, the new team member will drive operational excellence by ensuring the highest quality & optimal equipment performance in compliance with safety procedures.
                                               
Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $18-21/hr DOE
  • Employee bonus: mid/end of project bonus
  • Shift 6:30am-6:30pm
  • Must be able to work OT/Weekends 

Location: Hitchcock, TX
Type of Position: Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Position or align components and parts, wither manually or with hoist.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools to assemble parts.
  • Install, troubleshoot, remove hydraulic systems, components, and any other support equipment.
  • Install nuts and bolts to fasten components.
  • Install equipment such as motors and pumps.
  • Install or remove components such as engines and transmissions.
  • Install, maintain, or repair electrical components such as wiring harnesses, relays, fuels pumps etc.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Review and interpret drawings and instructions.
  • Follow all quality safety and environmental standards.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certified (Preferred)
  • Year or more of assembly experience preferred
  • Proficient with a variety of power tools
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Safety-first mindset
  • Mechanical and technical skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity and hand eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts
  • Able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
