Job Description
A premier developer of highly efficient EC technology is looking for a Logistics Manager responsible for directing and coordinating the plant’s internal & external logistics-related activities. The ideal candidate is familiar with ERP systems and knows logistics technology and best practices. Working cross-functionally, the new leader will develop and implement process improvements and technologies to increase productivity & cost-efficiency in compliance with company policies & procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and control shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling activities and ensure a safe work environment.
- Manage, hire, lead, motivate, and train personnel in the Logistics Department in accordance with organizational polices and applicable laws. Exhibit confidence in self and staff. Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback, and give recognition.
- Review current and future workload in order to plan work activities and adjust capacities and department structure where needed.
- Establish operational procedures for the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, the handling and disposition of merchandise, and ensuring permanent accuracy of all warehouse inventory.
- Coordinate activities of the Logistics Department in conjunction with Sales, Customer Service, and Purchasing Departments to ensure availability of merchandise.
- Ensure all material movement activities and transactions are performed accurately and timely.
- Maintain current knowledge of Logistics Technology and develop and implement process improvements and technologies to increase productivity in the Logistics Department.
- Lead Continuous Improvement activities in the Logistics Department.
- Maintain ISO 9001 manuals.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
- Ensure on-time delivery and correct packaging methods are utilized on all shipments.
- Use the following software programs when performing this job: MAC-PAC, Sequel, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Coordinate Customs Compliance, including NAFTA certificates.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and minimum five years related experience
- Proven track record in Lean Production and Continuous Improvement
- Experience in ERP implementation projects is a plus
- Follow the Employee Handbook policies and procedures and uphold organizational values
- Contribute to building a positive work environment
- Report for work consistently and on time
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are unsafe to the company and its employees
