Job Description

A well-established oil and gas exploration and production company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to procure and coordinate boats, shore-based personnel and facilities, trucking, buoy markers, and the procurement & management of casing tubulars and their related materials. This is a perfect opportunity for a technical professional with sound knowledge of OCTG products and well-versed in procurement for offshore operations. Reporting to the Operations Systems Manager, the new team member will ensure operational efficiency and profitability by ensuring continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness while maintaining compliance with safety & quality standards.

Type of Position: Direct hire

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing of OCTG for well operations
  • Upon notification of well requirements, locate suppliers and request bids for OCTG.
  • Purchase, inspect, and accessorize OCTG as per well requirements.
  • Stipulate documentation and required inspections for OCTG.
  • Coordinate for movement of OCTG, equipment, and accessories to the dock.
  • Maintain casing records, including manufacturing certificates, from procurement through final disposition.
  • Equipment Inventory Management
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of OCTG and equipment listings within the Inventory Tool.
  • Enter Material Transfers (MTs) into the Inventory Tool as OCTG and equipment is transferred from location to location.
  • Attach appropriate documentation to equipment records within the Inventory Tool to provide “cradle to grave” records for each item of equipment.
  • Shore Base Support, for dock dispatchers to operate.
  • Review and approve all boat logs and billing prior to payment approval.
  • Procure, inventory, and approve all storage and shipment container and equipment billing.
  • Environmental Waste Disposal
  • Contract with disposal companies.
  • Ensure proper documentation for movement and disposal of waste.
  • Maintain records at the shore base for waste movement.
  • Accountability & Decision Making
  • Purchase OCTG up to $1 Million for approved well plans.
  • Determine bid requirements and select vendors for services and equipment.
  • Determine level of documentation and inspections requirement for OCTG to meet well requirements.
  • Audit and review the QA practices for selected vendors.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 10 years managing OCTG
  • Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of procurement for offshore operations
  • Technical professional with sound knowledge of OCTG products
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Good people management skills
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple simultaneous requirements
  • Able to work with MS Word, Excel, and email programs (as a minimum)
  • Comfortable working with databases at a user level
