Job Description

A premier provider of turnkey valve-actuation solutions is seeking an Actuator Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot pneumatic valve actuators and automation packages. The ideal candidate is a skilled, mechanically inclined technician with experience working from technical drawings and pneumatic schematics. As a key member of the team, the new hire will ensure high-quality, reliable actuator performance by performing precise assembly and testing procedures while meeting production standards and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Location: Houston, TX 77073
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

Assemble and configure pneumatic actuators, mounting kits, and control packages.
Install and set up positioners, solenoids, limit switches, and other automation components.
Perform functional testing, calibration, and documentation.
Troubleshoot air leaks, alignment issues, and actuator performance concerns.
Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate builds.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience with pneumatic actuators, valve automation, or industrial assembly
Ability to read drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and test equipment
Understanding of pneumatic systems and basic instrumentation
