Job Description

A leading steel manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Associate (M&T and DCI) to perform daily warehouse tasks and ensure accurate order processing. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-focused worker with strong attention to detail. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the new hire will keep warehouse operations running efficiently by preparing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and handling materials properly while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

$17.50/hr.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday (as needed) 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX 77075
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

Prepare will call, delivery, and UPS orders accurately and double check part number, size, and quality.
Follow all special instructions on the pick tickets indicated by the customer.
Ensure that fragile items are received and handled correctly; inspecting them for damage before they are handed over.
Utilize equipment and machines safely including forklifts, shrink guns, and paper packaging machines.
Load/off-load incoming and outgoing trucks.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Make sure the right protective equipment is used at all times when working in designated areas.
Maintain an organized, safe work environment.
Ensure materials are stored and stocked efficiently.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to climb, lift, pull and perform other various physical functions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Measurement devices and tape measures may be required for the job, so the ability to read them is essential
