Job Description

A fast-growing pipe manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate is a skilled, self-driven technician with strong hands-on mechanical experience. Working under minimal supervision, the new hire will keep production equipment running reliably by performing repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance while following safety standards and supporting smooth operations.

Location: Houston, TX 77073
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems/assets.
Install/remove molds as needed.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
Work individually or as part of a team to complete projects or assigned tasks, successfully and safely.
Follow safety procedures and adhere to policies and procedures.
Correctly interpret technical documents for proper execution of assignments.
Perform Root Cause Analysis as needed.
Maintain a safety-oriented mindset.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience maintaining, installing and troubleshooting mechanical systems/assets (pumps, blowers, valves, centrifuges, rollers, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, etc.)
Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus
Proficient in reading, interpreting and usage of technical documentation and schematics
Experience utilizing impact/power tools, wrenches, and other related tools
Able to operate the following vehicles: forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts
Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
Thrive in an intense, do-it-yourself, industry environment
Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment and diverse communities
