Storekeeper Leader
Job Description
A leading provider of integrated engineering and construction services is seeking a Storekeeper Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and inventory control. The ideal candidate is a reliable and detail-oriented professional with experience in storekeeping, team supervision, and hands-on warehouse tasks. This role requires familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory management, as well as handling chemical MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).
Candidates should also bring packing experience with boxes, crates, and containers, and knowledge of pipe and structural materials will be considered a strong plus.
Working collaboratively, the successful candidate will support operational efficiency by guiding daily workflows, overseeing inventory activities, and supporting team productivity while upholding safety standards, ensuring documentation accuracy, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations and lead storekeeping staff
- Conduct daily morning toolbox meetings to review activities and address safety concerns/topics
- Ensure accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing inventory
- Oversee proper packing and handling of shipments (boxes, crates, containers)
- Sort and pack raw materials and finished products for projects and dispatch
- Monitor and issue tools and consumables on a daily/weekly basis for the workshop
- Ensure proper storage of materials, tools, and consumables
- File all serial numbers into the system for shipped items to maintain certification records
- Manage and maintain MSDS for chemicals in storage and use
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures
- Monitor and control client equipment, materials, and project-specific deliveries
- Coordinate shipping and receiving processes, including receipts and dispatch
- Provide updates on import/export shipment status to support logistics
- Obtain equipment/material certificates and forward to QC and/or Project teams
- Take and share photos of outgoing loads with project teams for records
- Pick up completed pallets from the workshop and load finished products onto trailers/designated areas
- Sort empty and damaged pallets for storage or removal
- Check incoming materials in coordination with the Quality team
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management and warehouse operations
- Team leadership and supervisory experience
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures and documentation
- Experience with packing across containers (boxes, crates, etc.)
- Knowledge of chemical MSDS handling and compliance
- Understanding of pipe and structural materials is a strong plus
