Job Description

A premier company in turnkey valve actuation services is seeking a Forklift Operator to support warehouse and production logistics through safe and efficient material handling. The ideal candidate is a dependable and safety-conscious professional with proven forklift experience and attention to detail in fast-paced industrial environments. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the new hire will ensure smooth workflow by transporting materials and finished products between production and shipping areas while maintaining equipment standards, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Salary: $18-25/hr
Location: Houston, TX 77073
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm (1-hr lunch is our standard)

Responsibilities:
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to transport valves, actuators, components, and finished assemblies between production, warehouse, and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks safely, maintaining product integrity and traceability.
  • Stage and organize materials for production teams and coordinate timely movement of completed products to the shipping area.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inventory tracking in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Uphold all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and material handling best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse efficiency, organization, and workflow.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure materials are handled and stored properly.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks, including inventory counts, labeling, and facility organization.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proven experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or production environment; experience in industrial equipment, oil and gas, or manufacturing preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality control
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated with strong communication skills
  • Work is performed in a production and warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Requires frequent operation of forklifts, standing, walking, lifting, and bending
  • Must wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all company safety protocols
