Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator to oversee inventory operations and ensure efficient material flow throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on logistics professional with strong inventory control experience and the ability to manage warehouse functions with accuracy and accountability. Working under limited supervision, the new team member will support operational efficiency by maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating shipping and receiving, and training warehouse staff while ensuring timely transactions, safety compliance, and adherence to process standards.

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: M-F 7AM-5PM

Responsibilities:
  • Work under limited supervision, responsible for (primary) Inventory Control, (secondary) goods receiving, shipping, picking, packing, and proper warehousing of goods in the factory.
  • Train and assist the Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving & IC team.
  • Must follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective clerical documentation to supply chain, finance, and internal customers.
  • Ensure proper systematic transactions are completed timely and accurately for inventory control, transport and distribution center to support the business needs of the department and internal/external customers.
  • Primarily responsible for inventory control, receiving, shipping, picking, packing, and warehousing of goods.
  • Train and assist the warehouse team, ensure accurate inventory transactions, and maintain inventory accuracy.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree preferred
  • At least three (3) years of inventory control experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able operate material handling equipment
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for up to 10 hours a day
  • Effective communication, compliance with core values, experience with MRP and ERP applications, ability to read engineering drawings, and knowledge of computers and Microsoft Suite
  • A forklift license and hazardous shipping certification may be necessary
  • Warehouse – Logistics focus
