Job Description

A global pioneer in the production industry is looking for an Intercompany Accountant to manage the comprehensive intercompany and intracompany accounting process. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses strong organizational and communication abilities, coupled with a thorough grasp of accounting fundamentals. Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager, the new team member will ensure business efficiency by streamlining processes in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and the company’s policies and procedures.

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee intercompany and intracompany monthly close activities to ensure entries are properly recorded and balances are eliminated.
  • Maintain and monitor the global intercompany and intracompany “DUE TO: DUE FROM” settlement voucher process and maintenance of the necessary statutory reporting documentation and operating formalities.
  • Perform and review inventory transfer pricing policies and ensure the proper values are maintained.
  • Maintain profit in inventory elimination reporting monthly.
  • Calculate and ledger monthly inter\intra company interest and the necessary eliminations.
  • Coordinate review reconciliation exceptions with regional teams.
  • Review and authorize the weekly billing of intercompany Contract Manufacturing billings and intercompany manufacturing fees and elimination in consolidation.
  • Comply with SOX requirements and maintain necessary documentation to ensure successful audit and certification of management policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Maintain and publish the monthly company intercompany and consolidation foreign currency exchange and cross-exchange rates for inter and intra-company trading relationships and eliminate these transactions in consolidation.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and responsibilities as required by management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
  • 3-5+ years of related accounting experience
  • Working towards a CPA, CMA, or CA preferred
  • Exposure to the intercompany transfer pricing tool “CROSS BORDERS” or equivalent preferred
  • Problem-solving skills in environments with differing objectives and incomplete or untimely information
  • Work under pressure with shifting priorities and across multiple languages and international time zones
  • Ability to teach and mentor operating units unfamiliar with intercompany accounting concepts to ensure coordination of the corporate consolidated ledgers and local operating trial balances.
  • Ability to communicate complicated and detailed reconciliations in a clear, concise, and complete manner that is actionable and does not require rework continuingly.
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve processes and deploy ORACLE intercompany trading network on a Global Basis
  • Exposure to ACCESS, Monarch, C++, SQL, and other data and information management tools
  • Advanced Excel skills with advanced knowledge of functions, pivot tables, visual presentations, etc.
