Job Description

A global supply chain solutions and logistics company is looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead and direct all HR department functions. This is a perfect opportunity for a strategic leader with thorough knowledge of HR functions and best practices. Working closely with the Director of Corporate Administration, the new manager will increase business efficiency by promoting corporate values and ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Director of Corporate Administration to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide support and guidance to the HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of performance shortfalls, policy violations, wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which will include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for leadership, managerial, exempt, hourly and temporary roles; collaborate with all management and supervisory staff to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Successfully perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Administration and Leadership team.
  • Supervise and administer all employee benefit programs; coordinate with various vendors to ensure benefits are successfully supporting employee needs and train employees on how to utilize the programs for the maximum benefit of the employee and company.
  • Successfully manage the human resources, payroll, and benefits staff.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
