Job Description

A testing and inspections company is seeking an HR Policy Coordinator for a project. This position will manage and standardize HR policies globally. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, process-driven communicator with strong writing and project coordination skills. 

Salary: $70,000-$80,000
Location: Houston, TX - Galleria
Type of Position: Temp

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and track all HR policies, updates, and revisions across Canada, the U.S., and global entities.
  • Serve as the policy draft owner—maintaining version control, making content updates, and ensuring accurate, consistent formatting.
  • Support other functional groups with policy drafting and revisions as needed.
  • Partner with QHSE/Document Control to ensure proper document numbering, naming, and filing procedures.
  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of policy updates, including stakeholder reviews, working sessions, and feedback integration.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working groups, managing timelines, discussions, and action items.
  • Execute policy rollout plans, including publishing to internal systems/locations, ensuring accessibility for employees.
  • Develop communication materials and support employee-facing rollout initiatives, including FAQs, announcements, and training sessions.
  • Deliver policy training sessions when required.
  • Maintain a repository of final policies and ensure ongoing governance and compliance with retention/versioning standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Additional training or certification in HR, compliance, or project management (e.g., SHRM, CHRP, PMP) considered an asset
  • Proven experience writing and managing HR policies and/or employee handbooks
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and document-formatting skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple policy projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to drive timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and follow up persistently
  • High attention to detail with ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and required revisions
  • Experience supporting policy development in an international organization 
  • Familiarity with HR compliance concepts, employment legislation, or regulated environments 
  • Experience partnering with document control or governance teams preferred
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must be able to work extended hours during peak project periods, as needed
