Job Description

A leading company in the legal services industry is seeking a Compensation Analyst to develop and support competitive pay programs that attract and retain top talent. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and detail-oriented HR professional with expertise in compensation analysis and market benchmarking. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance compensation practices, conduct market analysis, manage pay adjustments, and oversee bonus programs, all while ensuring compliance and contributing to a fair and competitive total rewards strategy.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze internal pay structures to ensure alignment with the company’s business goals.
  • Conduct and interpret external market surveys and compensation data.
  • Develop, implement, and manage compensation programs and policies.
  • Assist in job evaluations and job analysis processes.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations regarding promotions, pay increases, and organizational structure changes.
  • Compile and present compensation data reports to leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to plan and forecast compensation budgets.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, HR, or a related field
  • CCP certification preferred
  • Proven track record in analytical roles
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, particularly the FLSA
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to present information clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy
  • Experience in designing compensation programs and conducting market benchmarking
  • Proficient in HR compliance, especially FLSA and federal/state labor laws
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
