Job Description

A premier supplier of industrial and utility wire & cable is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated operations. This position wears many hats and will touch on many areas of the business.

Location: NE Houston, TX – In office
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management
  • Coordinate and facilitate benefit enrollment, processes, and programs.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Support and coordinate payroll matters.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Assist with the administration of onsite injury issues and safety compliance.
  • Participate in evaluation, monitoring, and follow up of training programs to ensure success.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent required; Master's degree and relevant industry experience preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a HR Generalist
  • Highly results-oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, and implement multiple projects within targeted deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation, compliance, FMLA, benefits, ethics, you name it!
  • Occasional travel to other areas may be expected.
