Job Description

A leading manufacturer is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support strategic HR initiatives and ensure smooth daily operations across multiple U.S. locations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of employee relations, policy implementation, and experience processing payroll.

Location: Houston, TX 77015 - ONSITE
Type of Position: Direct Hire


Responsibilities:
  • HR Processes & Analytics: Maintain HR processes, generate reports, and analyze key metrics such as turnover and labor market data.
  • Recruitment & Compliance: Source top talent in line with EEO/AA guidelines using available resources.
  • Payroll Management: Process bi-weekly (salary) and weekly (hourly) payroll in Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Handle wage assignments, tax deductions, and garnishments. Identify and resolve payroll issues before processing.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage company benefits, including annual open enrollment and employee enrollment in HRIS and provider systems.
  • HRIS & Data Management: Maintain and update personnel records, ensuring accuracy in employee data, wages, evaluations, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Employee Relations & Policies: Administer company policies fairly and consistently while collaborating with management to align company goals.
  • Training & Compliance: Conduct compliance training and deliver key messages to large audiences.
  • Garnishments & Legal Compliance: Process wage garnishments, tax levies, and ensure payroll records comply with regulations.
  • Applicant Tracking & Reporting: Manage applicant tracking systems and produce necessary reports.
  • Time Management & Prioritization: Stay flexible, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or similar preferred
  • HR certification through HRCI or SHRM preferred
  • 2+ years of HR experience
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
  • Strong MS Office knowledge, working experience in Paylocity strongly preferred
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or similar industry experience
