Job Description

A fast-growing trucking company providing oil rig mobilization, crane services, and production services is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is proficient in negotiation, well-versed in the sales process, and possesses a comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy policies, regulations, and industry standards. Communicating effectively, the new team member will meet/exceed business objectives by identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and advocating the company's cutting-edge green energy solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Development
    • Identify and target potential customers in the green energy sector, specifically in the turbines and heavy haul transportation segments.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and develop a robust sales pipeline.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • Sales and Relationship Management
    • Conduct sales presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to close deals and achieve sales targets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.
    • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify upselling opportunities, and secure repeat business.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop a deep understanding of our green energy solutions, particularly in the turbines and heavy haul transportation sectors.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
    • Understand various types of heavy haul equipment used in the wind energy space and over-the-road transportation, including but not limited to heavy haul trucks, multi-axle heavy haul flatbed trailers, and wind transport trailers. 
    • Effectively communicate the technical features, benefits, and value propositions of our products and services to customers.
  • Travel and Territory Management
    • Travel extensively, approximately 75-80% of the time, to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
    • Effectively manage your territory, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel logistics, and maximizing productivity on the road.
    • Collaborate with the sales team and sales management to coordinate efforts, share best practices, and optimize sales strategies.
  • Reporting and Forecasting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM systems.
    • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to the sales management team.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the green energy industry, specifically with turbines and heavy haul transportation
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and articulate complex concepts to customers
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 75-80% of the time)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policies, regulations, and industry standards is a plus
