Job Description

A fast-growing, award-winning European technology company is looking for a General Sales Manager to manage its branch and office in Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking professional with excellent selling & leading skills. Working closely with a team, the new leader will drive aggressive growth & profitability by developing effective business development strategies while representing the company brand and promoting safety & environment protection solutions.
                                               
Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $130,000-$160,000 + Bonus
  • Car allowance
  • 4% towards 401K 

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management of branch and office in Texas – other locations to be discussed.
  • Represent the company brand and developing the US market.
  • Lead a small team of BD representatives.
  • Open, develop, and retain relationships with key accounts in the industry, in particular oil and gas, chemistry, and power generation.
  • Maintain active sales acquisition with focus on opening, retaining, and developing Key Accounts.
  • Plan, organize, and implement marketing actions together with Head office.
  • Prepare offers, general sales administration.

Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc Engineering Degree (Technical/Instrumentation/Mechanical) or similar background with further education in Sales & Marketing preferred
  • Experience in hiring, developing, and working with channel partners in a similar industry
  • Leading skills - ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
  • Experience in Oil & Gas downstream market, petrochemical, refineries. 
  • Experience working in Europe is highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in an SMB, or start-up environment, selling CAPEX equipment, Non Destructive Testing (NDT), or similar goods like measuring devices
  • Ability to approach different client levels, doing presentations, and making on-site technical demos and trainings
  • Excellent communicator, multi-tasking skills, able to build relationships
  • Enthusiastic about promoting Safety and Environment protection solutions
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Good computer skills; familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Willingness to travel in the US (30% - 50%) and from time to time abroad
