Location:Â Tomball, TX 77375
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met.
- Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
- Organize and assemble parts into bundles to deliver to the customer.
- Package the product in the form in which it will be sent out, making sure to account for a quality inspection.
- Adhere to all of the company’s QMS/ISO standards.
- Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Ensure all orders meet company standards and CSR requirements.
- Plan and prepare for the next day’s work.
- Production
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
- Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, and check products to ensure they meet customer expectations, using gauges and hand tools.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Install, align, and lock specified cutting blades or other fixtures in machines.
- Match trace number and apply trace number on all material when returned.
- Maintain a clean work area and organize leftover parts by size.
- Use materials in a responsible manner, understanding when to use scrap materials and cutting in a manner that doesn’t waste materials.
- Ensure material usage is reflected properly on paperwork.
Requirements:
- 1 year experience in manufacturing preferred
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required
