Job Description

A well-established organization in the construction sector is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to assist in the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure development projects. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual with familiarity with civil engineering principles and a passion for contributing to impactful projects. Working collaboratively, the new hire will support project management and engineering tasks by utilizing software tools and performing construction inspections, while ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
        
Salary + Additional Benefits: 
  • $55,000-$70,000

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in project scheduling and management to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation for drafting and design purposes.
  • Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Support in tracking project progress and updating project schedules.
  • Assist with maintaining project documentation and reports.
  • Help identify and resolve potential issues or risks that may impact project timelines or quality.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate project tasks.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss project progress, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in managing project budgets and procurement of materials.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports, employing strong technical writing skills.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles, including construction management, project engineering, and technical writing
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Bluebeam, Mathcad, HEC, Revit, CAD, and GIS tools is highly desirable
