Job Description

A leading company specializing in power quality and protection solutions is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support for critical power systems. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional with expertise in electrical or electronics-based technology. Communicating effectively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction by performing routine service and repairs while maintaining compliance with safety and industry standards.

Location: Magnolia, TX 77354
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on large UPS systems.
  • Provide emergency repair and/or diagnostics on large UPS systems.
  • Supervise/Assist in battery replacement jobs which may require repeated heavy lifting and bending.
  • Provide field service reports to customers after a job is complete.
  • Communicate with clients in a proficient and professional manner.

Requirements:
  • Associate Level Degree or Field Experience Equivalent (1-3 years) in an Electrical or Electronics based technology field
  • Experience working with three-phase electrical systems including static or rotary types
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including DC/AC power, battery systems, and control systems.
  • Proficient with the use of testing and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, and battery load testers).
  • Possess a Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Ability to operate forklifts and/or Pallet Jacks preferred
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-screen drug test
  • Ability to work occasional jobs on weekends and evenings
  • Availability to travel out of town 30% (Austin, San Antonio, Beaumont)
  • On-Call requirement approximately 1 week/ per month with availability for dispatch at a moment's notice
  • Computer Skills - Outlook Email, Excel, and Word
