Salary: $20/hr
Location: Houston, TX – Galleria area
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Training & Recruiting Manager each week to review applications pending and conditional hires, and coordinate new hire start dates for training purposes.
- Assist in the planning and organizing of the recruiting strategy.
- Source driver candidates by using a recruiting database.
- Review backgrounds, including work history, criminal history, and other requirements to determine qualifications for the position are met by the applicant.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Schedule drug screens and/or physicals of potential candidates after an offer of employment is made.
- Participate in processing, verifying, and maintaining personnel related documentation.
- Coordinate with HR to confirm all hiring requirements are met by applicant prior to start date.
- Ensure new hire personnel file is compliant with company policy and federal, state, and/or location regulations.
- Maintain a complete record of candidates, interviews, and new hires.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field of study preferred
- 1 - 3 years of experience recruiting in an industrial industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task, honor deadlines and manage time effectively
- An innovative self-starter with problem solving skills, hands-on environment, ambition, and a strong work ethic
