An industry pioneer and foremost innovator in designing, building, and managing VOC and HAP emissions control strategies is looking for a Director of Sales to drive the sales organization by leadership and self-example to strategically grow all aspects of the company. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader with excellent sales strategy, personnel management, and business development skills. Working cross-functionally, the new director will achieve maximum profitability and sales growth through effective leadership and execution of strategic business plans while reinforcing the company’s safety culture & core values.

Location: La Porte, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

  • Lead and manage sales team as part of Company Core Values in all aspects as it relates to employees, clients, vendors, and other team members.
  • Frequent discussions with the Director of Operations on the health of the sales and operations teams.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to develop and implement individual sales strategies across the company to include:
  • Strategic alignment with Operations Director on sales initiatives.
  • Strategic sales plan aligned with TM’s and Thermal group for managed growth in each territory based on equipment and manpower availability.
  • Ride along with salespersons to include interaction with our client base and presentations of all our service lines, coordinating and in conjunction with leadership as needed.
  • Manage Salesforce activity to include tracking of contacts, events, and task to ensure a healthy pipeline of work.
  • Manage companywide forecast by salesperson by territory to meet Leadership, Director of Operations, and Territory Managers expectation.
  • Conduct employee yearly review to be completed in company systems.
  • Assure invoice approvals are completed each month.
  • Assure DSO stays within company expectations.
  • Manage commission structure, payment, and splits.
  • Responsible for training and documenting all existing and new employees.
  • Responsible for initiating PIP with Territory Manager for sales personnel improvements.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to provide company information and organization of information to the industry.
  • Manage Monday update calls across the company.
  • Evaluate the current structure with the Director of Operations and streamline.
  • Responsible for Safety Management to include but not limited to:
  • Manage any safety, vehicular, or environmental incidents including:
      1. Coordination with Territory Manager
      2. Coordination with Director of Safety
      3. Meeting with Clients as part of Incident Investigation
      4. Root Cause Analysis
      5. Leadership with TM, HR and Safety for any discipline matters.
      6. Manage any procedure changes that are developed from investigations.
  • Work side by side with our Safety Management team to come up with reasonable, safe solutions that work best for the company and relay those findings to our clients.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring Management members and staff members as necessary. 
  • Determine staffing requirements, and recruit, interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.

  • 10-15 years of experience in the Environmental/Industrial Services to the Upstream/Downstream Field
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales management
  • Forecasting company out to 90 days
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce
  • Experience presenting to large audiences which includes company and clients
  • Preferred location for this position is at our La Porte branch
