Job Description
The Director of Real Estate works closely with the CEO and as part of a team that will lead and implement real estate development strategic goals, objectives, and priorities by sourcing a pipeline of property acquisitions in the state of Texas with focus markets in residential, multifamily, industrial, commercial/mix-use and farm and ranch. The Director is responsible for originating, coordinating, and implementing all aspects of the acquisitions - from deal origination and feasibility through closing. The Director will plan, organize, and manage all acquisition functions and activities assigned, including activities and coordination with outside agencies under the direction of the CEO.

Responsibilities:
- Source, analyze and execute potential real estate acquisitions and divestitures considering profitability for the company.
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with property management, real estate brokers/agents and contractors.
- Develop and manage real estate team within the company.
- Conduct all physical, financial, and operational due diligence on properties during feasibility and acquisition processes.
- Coordinate marketing and lease up process and transition to stabilize operations, working with internal departments (asset management, property management and fiscal) before, during, and after acquisition to ensure smooth tenant relations and transition to operations.
- Asset management: tracking and monitoring the financial value of property assets and record their appreciation or depreciation over time. Includes but not limited to utility management, lease management, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, workspace management, security management, and cleaning.
- Manage records lifestyle according to legal, administrative, fiscal, and historical requirements.
Requirements:
- Real Estate professional with a collaborative, consultative style, and strong customer service mentality.
- Must have proven ability to plan and manage multiple real estate development projects simultaneously and to lead teams of contractors and external consultants.
- Excellent organizational coordination, ability to resolve complex problems expeditiously and strong time management skills.
- Highly developed written oral communication skills including preparation of reports, briefing papers and correspondence with a high degree of professionalism.
- Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Team leadership and development.
- Proficient computer skills and in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Master’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or planning is preferred.
