Job Description
A fast-growing transport company is seeking a Director of Freight to lead and scale its freight vertical. The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics executive with a proven track record in P&L ownership, freight brokerage, and carrier operations. Working collaboratively, the new leader will drive revenue growth and operational excellence by building strong broker and 3PL partnerships while designing scalable freight solutions and ensuring service quality.

Responsibilities:Â
- Own and manage the full P&L of the company’s vertical, with a focus on Freight Brokers
- Lead and scale the company’s operations.
- Drive commercial strategy and execution to grow revenue and margin.
- Build and manage relationships with freight brokers, 3PLs, and logistics partners.Â
- Design and implement freight services tailored specifically for brokers within the company’s platform.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring service quality and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, and technology teams.
- Define and track KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the freight and logistics industry
- Leadership roles at both freight brokerages and carrier organizations
- Proven track record of owning P&L and scaling operations
- Deep knowledge of broker-carrier relationships, pricing models, and compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- High level of ownership, with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
