Job Description
A well-established home building company is looking for a Director of Construction to develop, implement, and achieve the construction schedules and annual operating plans to meet company growth targets & projections. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated leader extensively knowledgeable about home construction and has excellent leadership & communication skills. Working closely with a team, the new director will drive operational excellence through effective team & project management while ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Training: Recruit, select, train, manage, and motivate.
- Management: Conduct goal and feedback sessions with reports.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the compliance of warranty procedure and keep warranty to the absolute lowest level.
- Utilize construction SCH software; ensure use and compliance of BT scheduling.
- Deliver quality built homes; 7 or less items on Quality Walk Inspections.
- Deliver homes on time; ensure homes completed in less than 120 calendar days.
- Manage a team of trades and suppliers to complete homes on time.
- Delegate tasks as needed to complete homes and assign tasks to laborers/subordinates.
- Communicate, motivate, and train vendors on the expectations of Camden Homes.
- Maintain a high level of organization in day-to-day tasks. Use routines and check lists.
- Play an active role in developing, implementing, and achieving the construction schedules and annual operating plans to meet company growth targets and projections.
- Lead and manage current construction team as well as hire additional construction team members to handle growth and build up training and evaluation system accordingly to achieve division and corporate objectives.
- Participate in talent management activities, including recruiting, training, succession planning, motivating, and managing team to execute the agreed-upon plans and objectives of the company.
- Build up the WB construction training program and execute.
- Ensure construction site visiting, construction quality control, and OSHA compliance.
- Attend or host weekly/month construction meetings and prepare/manage related schedules, business plans, and/or reports to accurately communicate budget, permit process, start package, schedule, project controls, and overall project process.
