Job Description

A leading mechanical engineering contractor is looking for a Country Manager to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses experience in tank construction and technical product sales. Communicating effectively, the new member will drive aggressive growth & profitability by developing effective business development strategies in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Acquire new, maintain, and expand existing customers.
  • Create quotations and scope descriptions.
  • Gather information from customers to convert to conclusive proposals.
  • Responsible for administrative processing of sales activities.
  • Provide input for commercial objectives.
  • Transfer project awards to project management.
  • Monitor and evaluate projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct internal and external evaluations on completed assignments. 
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, events, and social media.
  • Report on progress against KPIs and commercial objectives.
  • Follow safety regulations, prevent workplace accidents, and actively participate in department safety initiatives.
  • Perform own work in accordance with company procedures and in accordance with customer requirements.

Requirements:
  • A completed college education, preferably in a commercial field
  • 5+ years of experience selling a technical product
  • Good command of English, both oral and written; Spanish is an advantage
  • The CSM works from home, Houston or in the New Iberia office and travels regularly to clients both nationally and internationally
