Job Description
A fast-growing digital healthcare company is looking for a Controller to manage its day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is a financial accounting expert with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and a thorough understanding of tax & federal regulations. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the new leader will help improve operational efficiency by streamlining budgeting & financial reporting processes while maintaining effective communication & organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
- Ensure timely reconciliation and reporting of monthly financial statements.
- Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working with senior leadership team.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to all vendors and suppliers.
- Manage accounts receivables to assure timely payment and clean accounts.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to allow for accurate company reports.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.
- Facilitate creation of annual budget with senior leadership team.
- Assure company complies with federal, state, and local business requirements.
- Maintain needed accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and supervising employees.
- Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to all financial and business information.
- Oversee payroll, tax preparation, AP/AR, and inventory systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Experience in company with large inventory, number of SKUs, and significant volume of daily sales and purchasing transactions
- CPA
- Big 4 experience or large middle market firm
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with banking relationships and financial reporting requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Experience and thorough familiarity with financial accounting
- Ability to independently prepare and enter journal entries for adjustments and accruals, etc. to produce accurate monthly financial statements
- Ability to analyze and forensically investigate GL accounts receivable and resolve issues as needed
- Ability to develop systems and write procedures
- Good communication skills
- Understanding development and maintenance of annual budget
- Ability to analyze information and create solutions
- Performance management skills
- Ability to find, hire, and supervise accounting staff
