Job Description

A global manufacturing and service company in NW Houston is seeking a Divisional Controller to join their team. The Divisional Controller will be responsible for all finance and accounting activities for the US division.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

$130,000-140,000 + Discretionary bonus

Location: NW Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

Management of the finance function and overseeing the divisional finance team.
Prepare monthly and annual accounts.
Assist in the preparation and submission of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
Provide assistance to the finance teams during interim and annual audits.
Communicating & reporting regularly to the Gas Turbines Financial Controller, UK and the Group finance team based at head office in the UK.
Manage all primary reporting to support division.
Income statement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, year-end preparation, payroll and all other ad hoc financial reporting.
Responsible for accurate cost allocations and effective cash flow management for divisions.
Strategic planning to enable business teams to drive profitability for the division.
Maintain customer administrative relationships and identify opportunities to produce enhanced financial results
Intercompany submissions and timelines will figure prominently in period (monthly, quarterly, year-end) reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA, CMA or similar designation
5+ years of accounting leadership experience
Understanding of U.S. GAAP
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments
Must be a team player who also works well independently
