Job Description
A global leader in the energy industry is looking for a Contract Recruiter. Working with assigned managers, the new team member will deliver value-added service to management and employees by ensuring the effectiveness of recruitment processes, employment branding, and sourcing strategies.
Salary: $35-42/hr.
Location: Houston, TX 77044 (Hybrid)
Type of Position: Temporary / Contract
Responsibilities:
- Engage in hiring activities (Full Cycle Recruiting), including working with the assigned manager to support their need for new/replacement of personnel.
- Assist in identifying candidates through a variety of methods, including employee referrals, social networks, searches, and management leads.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
- Organize and attend relevant job fairs; promote the business as an employee of choice.
- Interview and analyze candidates for hiring managers; refer candidates to hiring managers and ensure consistency in the interviewing process.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the overall business in addition to the products/services of assigned client groups.
- Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
- Remain compliant with hiring procedures; once a candidate is selected for hire, will complete the necessary steps to enable the following: an offer to be made, the appropriate pre-employment screening to be conducted, and the candidate is ready for onboarding.
- Serve as a point of contact for feedback from managers.
- Assist candidates in all matters from the interview stage through onboarding, answering questions, addressing concerns, and facilitating the hiring process.
- Initiate contracts (for independent consultants, service providers, and outside recruiting firms); attend outside career fairs or other tasks as assigned.
- Assist with future initiatives for hiring.
- Lead projects as needed.
- Handle confidential information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
- Preferably a minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in People & Culture environment or Recruiting Firm depending on education level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Solid knowledge of Taleo Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, proactive, and strategically minded.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail & follow-through.
