Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities with existing and prospective customers for company’s products.
- Analyze technical aspects of water treatment solutions, address customer issues, and conduct jar testing and field trials.
- Responsible for proposal development, writing technical specifications, and preparing responses for bids, while ensuring alignment with marketing efforts at trade shows.
- With a strong understanding of chemical treatments and competitive technologies, influence bid specifications and conduct follow-ups to maintain customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities with both existing and potential customers through the use of company’s products.
- Gather leads and qualify them for potential business.
- Meet with targeted customers well in advance of bid openings to ensure specifications can be met by the company and influence bid specifications when possible.
- Attend and participate in trade shows to increase exposure and network with potential customers.
- Analyze all technical aspects, including dosage rates, chemical selection, and equipment specifications.
- Solve customer issues related to company products, such as struvite control, phosphorus control, odor control, and mercaptan control.
- Conduct jar testing and field trials for new products and technologies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of stoichiometric relationships concerning chemical treatments.
- Interpret existing patents relevant to the industry.
- Work closely with AWT to coordinate the execution of chemical applications.
- Coordinate with company strategies regarding new production volumes and locations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure attendance at appropriate industry shows.
- Help write technical specifications for customer bids, identifying potential constraints for the company’s participation.
- Collect all necessary data for proposal writing, including technical details and case studies.
- Prepare responses for RFP, RFQ, and RFI packages.
- Write detailed technical reports and contract proposals.
- Conduct technical follow-ups immediately after initial customer visits.
- Assist in developing case studies with customers to showcase product effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry or biology preferred
- At least 10 years of water or wastewater treatment experience in the Municipal and industrial market
- At least 10 years of chemical applications experience in the Municipal and industrial market
- Jar testing required
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of applications relevant to company products
