Job Description

A recognized worldwide leader and pioneer in the development and application of heavy lifting solutions is looking for a CAD Designer to provide drafting/designing support to civil/structural & rigging engineering design teams. The ideal candidate is highly competent in Autodesk products, including Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Working closely with design teams, the new member will drive operational excellence by generating accurate and high-quality designs aligned with project specifications and customer needs.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Provide drafting/designing support to civil/structural and rigging engineering design teams.
  • Construct and navigate detailed 3D models using Autodesk suite of products, including Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Complete conceptual models, layouts, and fabrication drawings in support of the Rigging, Testing, and Structural projects using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Maintain a library of equipment parts for use in Inventor models.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience and/or Associate’s Degree in Drafting & Design
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in response to changing priorities of the project team
  • Occasional offshore travel
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize accordingly when handling multiple projects
