Job Description
A nationwide food company has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to demonstrate its value to new prospects and help convert them into clients. The ideal candidate is a sales expert passionate about business development and customer service. Working closely with clients, the new team member will achieve sales growth objectives through effective communication & coordination while increasing customer conversion rate and building long-term client relationships.

Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities:
- Manage lead coordination, including email correspondence and calendar coordinating along with owning the first conversation and touchpoint with our prospects.
- Unearth new sales opportunities through networking/research and turn them into long-term partnerships.
- Present products to prospective clients.
- Manage lead qualification; demonstrate and explain Company Imports technology stack, ask strong discovery questions, highlight pains for customers that they were not aware existed.
- Research highly relevant information for each prospect and company using LinkedIn.
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain lead information in Salesforce. Additionally, evaluate ways to more.
- Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings from marketing activities - including events, webinars, trade shows, campaigns - for handoff to account managers.
- For all events, handle pre-show appointment setting and post-show follow-up calls, manage lead qualification and appointment activity, and successfully communicate Import messaging and solution set.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of full-time work experience in sales: business/sales development, inside sales, sales support, or outside sales
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with B2B companies nationwide
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Google Suite, PowerPoint, NetSuite, and Excel
- Experience within Food, Food production, Liquor/Wine/Spirit sales
- Great energy, creativity, and drive
