Job Description
A fast-growing law firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist to lead and execute marketing and development strategies that enhance its visibility and engagement across key markets. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional adept at managing diverse tasks, including coordinating marketing materials, tracking business development opportunities, and facilitating event logistics. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by streamlining activities that strengthen brand recognition and support the firm's expansion goals.

Responsibilities:Â
- Support implementation of strategic marketing efforts for the Dallas & Texas offices to help elevate the company brand in the Texas market.
- Track regional conference/sponsorship opportunities and speaking engagements and assists with materials.
- Coordinate the drafting and editing of select marketing materials, including presentations and tracks and updates outcomes.
- Maintain and track Texas-specific opportunities and experience in MINT.Â
- Assist with preparing Texas specific legal directory and survey submissions.
- Submit to local awards and submissions in regards to elevating the company brand, including Houston Business Journal, Houston Corporate Counsel Awards, Texas Lawyer, etc.
- Manage online content, including lawyer biographies, event listings, and intranet posts, including coordination with the Communications team for social media and PR/media-related requests.Â
- Assist with the execution of firm-hosted events and management of RSVP lists, including creating and maintaining event mailings and lists in InterAction and coordinate mailings in Vuture.
- Track and log all Texas specific client entertainment opportunities and activities, including assisting with the budget.
- Maintain, report, and audit Texas Lawbook League Tables.
- Support lateral attorney integration in conjunction with BD and recruiting teams, including serving as local liaison and assisting with basic onboarding tasks such as scheduling Firm headshots.
- Manage the local office promo items, including client gifts for meetings.
- Put together agenda and any materials needed for the bi-monthly Texas Partner BD meetings.
- Pull specific local office research as needed and maintain current target lists (Houston PE Funds tracker, Texas family office tracker, etc.).
- Manage client appreciation events and sponsorships, including various sporting, arts, and theater events.
- Manage the Texas BD shared calendar for partners.
- Assist with other special projects as assigned by Managers, Directors, and Chief Marketing Officer.
- Must have 3-5+ years of relevant experience working with a law firmÂ
