Job Description

A leading company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and maintain strong customer relationships in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a consultative view on sales and a knack for building relationships. The new team member will expand market presence by developing new creditworthy accounts, managing existing relationships, and providing technical support while ensuring seamless collaboration with inside sales and delivering exceptional customer service.
 
Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Make sales calls on existing customers and potential customers on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Develop new, creditworthy accounts.
  • Assist inside sales with the preparation of quotations and proposals.
  • Follow up on quotations and obtain competitive information.
  • Pass on all competitive information to management and inside sales.
  • Provide customers with products and technical data as required.
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with customers.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with management and inside sales.
  • Submit all reports on a timely basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field
  • 2-3+ years of business development experience, true hunter      
  • Experience within an oilfield product/services environment
  • Highly consultative by nature, experience adding value and being thoughtful through client management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software                                             
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, if needed
