Job Description

An established manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual Benefits Specialist to join their team. The Benefits Specialist will oversee full benefits administration, and be the point of contact for all benefit related inquiries.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: SE Houston, TX - ONSITE
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave policies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve coverage issues, assist with claims, and explain plan details.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and guide employees through enrollment, changes, and inquiries during onboarding and open enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data in the HRIS while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and the ACA.
  • Partner with payroll to confirm accurate benefit deductions and contributions.
  • Support audits, compliance filings, and reporting requirements, including preparation of Form 5500.
  • Prepare and analyze benefits-related reports, including utilization, costs, and trends, to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide general HR support, including new hire onboarding, safety training, and incident/injury reporting.

Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English – Required.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
