Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an Assembly / Field Technician to support the assembly, installation, and servicing of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality and safety. Communicating effectively, the new team member will contribute to operational success by performing field and workshop tasks while ensuring compliance with procedures, resolving technical issues, and supporting customer needs.

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (ability to work overtime including Saturdays)
Location: Houston, TX 77066
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and test valves per documented work instructions.
  • Perform hands-on workshop and/or on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of valves.
  • Responsible for installation and testing of electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators.
  • Ensure work and used materials are in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform day-to-day and routine safety observations and inspections.

Requirements:                
  • High school education
  •  3-5 years of experience in valve/actuator assembly/inspection
  • Ability to read/follow blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and nights
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate effectively with all contacts
  • Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Passport (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
  • TWIC – Transportation Work Identification Credential
  • Facility site specific safety course as required
  • Must pass physical medical exam and background check
  • Minimum of three references required

Preferences:                     
  • Forklift experience
  • Overhead crane experience
