Job Description

A leading supplier of structural building products and services is seeking an Assembler to assist in the assembly of windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Under direct supervision, the new team member will contribute to operational efficiency by ensuring quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Cut products to specific measurements as needed.
  • Remove defective products as needed.
  • Tend machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Work in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
  • Clean equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish(
  • Carpentry experience is helpful
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Overtime work could be involved
