Job Description
An industry pioneer and foremost innovator in designing, building, and managing VOC and HAP emissions control strategies is looking for an Area Engineer to support ongoing operations for natural gas and hydrocarbon liquid Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) treatment. The ideal candidate is an AutoCAD expert with working knowledge in natural gas treatment, liquid hydrocarbon treatment, and phase separation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager/West Texas Manager, the new team member will meet/exceed operational objectives by effectively implementing processes while ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in Company Safety Program. Report all accidents, near misses, and/or injuries involving self, company vehicles, or persons under supervision. Promote a positive safety culture through proactive actions and work activities.
- Provide technical support for ongoing operations, including troubleshooting of systems.
- Oversee sample collection and analysis.
- Perform data trending and presentation to customers.
- Support territory with technical requirements such as drawings, calculations, and other job design data.
- Perform process analysis and simulations, considering mass flows in vapor and liquid forms, pressure, flow, temperature, and chemical reactions.
- Serve as onsite engineer for system setup and startup.
- Prepare Job Packages for systems, including but not limited to procedures, drawings, required design data/calculations.
- Demonstrate ability to engineer and design equipment requirements (Spec out Projects-Chemical and Equipment requirements) and Chemical Consumption for both Gas and Liquids.
- Work with field staff to implement field practices and procedures as required for field services.
- Enforce work procedures and Standard Operating Procedures as needed to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Support the planning and scheduling of projects.
- Confer with personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Ensure customer receives cost effective services in accordance with contract provisions.
- Report for work at scheduled times.
- Operate and fully understand H2S analyzers and chemical injection pumps.
- Demonstrate knowledge of customer requirements/regulations.
- Understand data tracking requirements and performs data logging for equipment.
- Supervise, direct, and assist Technicians in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
- Read work orders for assigned job and designates proper setup, hoses, chemicals, and other equipment required for assigned job.
- Operate vehicles, industrial vapor treatment equipment, and power tools when authorized and qualified to do so and in accordance with company rules, facility rules, and work orders.
- Obey all prevailing local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations while operating any vehicle on company property, in client’s facility, and on public streets and highways.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all services provided by the company.
- Comply with and enforce all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and client. Conform to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Requirements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management personnel.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering; Chemical with Process Systems preferred
- Military experience preferred but not required
- 3+ years of experience working within the oil field or natural gas field; working knowledge and experience with natural gas treatment, liquid hydrocarbon treatment, and phase separation
- Ability to read and write at a high level and efficient at working with computer spreadsheets and documents
- Organized, neat, and legible with paperwork and data logs to include timesheets, JSA’s, procedures, process change documents, purchase orders, cost tracking
- Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred
- Knowledge of data organization and sampling protocols
- Basic mechanical knowledge of typical equipment operated by the company (pumps, compressors, analyzers, etc.)
- Prior environmental experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- CDL preferred but not required
- TWIC Credentials required
- Complete OSHA 29CFR 1910.120 (40-hour HAZWOPER Training)
