Job Description

A leading financial firm is looking for a Receptionist for its Downtown Houston office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with excellent organization and prioritization abilities. Communicating effectively, the new receptionist will ensure efficient office operations by executing tasks with utmost professionalism and organizational efficiency while strictly adhering to established standards.

Salary: $50,000
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • Provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
  • Responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate bankers, mail distribution, and requisition of supplies.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls.
  • Manage conference room calendar.
  • Order office supplies and groceries for the office.
  • Maintain inventory and stock (office supplies, groceries, etc.).
  • Stock refrigerators / kitchens daily.
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Schedule conference rooms – Add all meetings to the Houston Conference Room calendar – Outlook. Always ask meeting host if their meeting requires A/V and catering.
  • Receive and ensure set-up of catering orders for meetings.
  • Maintain and stock binding supplies in the production room and stock printers with paper.
  • Order and maintain the supply of building parking vouchers for clients - Standard Parking.
  • Pick-up and drop off office mail at the building Post Office daily. If not able to distribute packages, please alert employees of any packages that arrive for them.
  • Prepare Federal Express packages for delivery to other offices (FedEx p/u from office M – Thu, Friday drop off in building).
  • Assist with binding books as needed.
  • Maintain and update Houston office phone list.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a corporate setting
  • Positive attitude, friendly personality, high level of professionalism at all times
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Must be comfortable working within Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
