Job Description
An independent oilfield services company is seeking an Engineering Admin Assistant to support engineering documentation and administrative processes. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented administrative professional with experience managing technical documents and systems. Working under minimum supervision, the new hire will maintain accurate records by managing documents and data while supporting cross-functional communication and administrative operations.

Responsibilities:
- Examine documents such as drawings, change orders and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data. Release engineering drawings and change orders.
- Create and maintain Material Masters and Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP S4HANA.
- Process Product Statement of Requirements (PSOR), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Engineering Release Notices (ERN) and Test Reports.
- Interact with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.
- Maintain technical documents (filing and distribution, keeping standard formatting, ensuring document contents are current).
- Review and distribute Incident Reports and Field Alerts.
- Responsible for moderating the Tech Forum Website, Technical and Engineering SharePoint sites.
- Maintain related manual and/or computerized files for Engineering department.
- Perform general office duties to include, office supply requisitions, data entry and report generation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 2 years in administrative position or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in Oil and Gas, or other engineering company preferred
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings preferred
- Technical documentation background, either administering, organizing, creating content preferred
- Familiarity with database concepts preferred
- Ability to work under minimum supervision in a general office setting
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write internal correspondence to other departments on behalf of the Technical Department
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Material Master and Bills of Material apps)
- Beginner knowledge of SolidWorks or similar solid modeling program. Advanced knowledge of MS Office software to include Word and Excel, and SharePoint. Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail systems
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to keep large sets of technical documentation organized and utilize digital organizational tools to create systems as needed
- Able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
