Accounting Supervisor

Job Description

Salary + Benefits:
- $70,000-$90,000 DOE

Location: Houston, TX 77040 - onsite
Type: Direct Hire
- Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in supervising and mentoring accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to help management make informed financial decisions.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accurals, and adjustments.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, and assist in audits as needed.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proven leadership abilities and a proactive mindset
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
