Job Description
Salary: $30-32/hr
Location:Â The Woodlands, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Manage vendor payables and customer receivables, employee expenses, and credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including financial package preparation.
- Assist with intercompany accounting, fixed asset tracking, and capital project reporting.
- Review and verify expense submissions via Expensify and ensure proper coding.
- Maintain documentation for audits and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.
- Partner with the Controller on cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Support process improvements and assist in potential migration from QuickBooks to Oracle.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and internal controls
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Expensify or comparable expense systems
- Proven ability to prioritize, self-manage, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required; CPA track or certification is a plus
