Job Description
Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location:Â Bay Area, CA
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for onboarding new customers by ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed and submitted.
- Support operational and settlement process for securities clearing & settlements with NSCC/DTC.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation on backend system vs bank records.
- Perform daily reconciliation of shareholding in custody system vs NSCC and investigate & resolve discrepancies.
- Process corporate action events which include drafting of correspondences to our end clients & business partners in HQ
- Process transfer instructions for securities.
- Involve in project development and testing.
- Partake in ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects/applications.
- Proactively initiate system enhancements to bridge gaps and smoothen the operational and settlement process.
- Handle backroom enquiries from all internal stakeholders in US and HQ.
- Provide general administration and support to operations and settlement department.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting such as Form Custody report.
- Assist in the preparation of daily reporting such as CAT Daily Review.
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with management in US and HQ (to the extent necessary and appropriate)
- Attend regular telephonic meetings with company’s operation and management from US and HQ.
- Perform other miscellaneous assignment/required reporting obligations.
Requirements:
- 1-3+ years of experience working in a US broker dealer/securities clearing and carrying firm
- Love solving operational and settlement and technical issues and ensure timely completion of daily duties and responsibilities
- Ideally holding Series 27 qualification or the interest in pursuing
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently
- Experience in operation and settlement and reporting for US broker-dealer and clearing carrying firm in US
