Job Description

A respected and growing organization in the commercial real estate sector is currently seeking a Project Accounting Assistant to support its corporate and development accounting operations. This role is ideal for a detail-focused and proactive individual with strong organizational abilities and a team-oriented approach. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of accounting tasks, and supporting coordination across departments—all while adhering to internal policies and deadlines.

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable invoices from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring proper routing for approval.
  • Track and log payments to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Research and respond to vendor/subcontractor inquiries as needed.
  • Provide administrative support, including scanning, filing, and other related tasks.
  • Maintain and update shared financial tracking spreadsheets.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial tasks, including report preparation, month-end close support, audit assistance, and special projects.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and financial responsibility
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
