Job Description

An established, family-owned office solutions company is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team! The Accounting Assistant will assist the Accounts Receivable team with daily functions. With over 30 years in business our client strives to exceed customer expectations and is seeking someone who holds the same values!

Salary + Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX 77041 - onsite
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Scan documents into DocuWare program and reviewing imports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Post client’s check payments into the accounting software.
  • Deposit Checks into the checking account using remote scanner.
  • Reviewing Credit Holds – contact customers and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Upload customer invoices to portals for select customers.
  • Address customer concerns, coordinate with contracts and billing team.
  • Assist with clerical duties within the accounting department.
  • Serve as a backup for the front desk

Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting
  • Strong MS Excel experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
