Job Description

An industry-leading provider of energy technology solutions is seeking an Accountant with a strong accounts payable background to manage financial transactions and support accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in financial management. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance business efficiency by maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls while supporting payment processing and financial reporting.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices in Netsuite, make payments weekly, generate invoices, intercompany reconciliations, Accruals, Build working files for cash entries, Journal entries, Run depreciation
  • Prepare assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, input to balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Prepare periodical VAT returns.
  • Financial: Approval of payments in the bank.
  • Propose training and courses in accordance with the personal development plan and development needs.
  • Communicate proposals to the closest supervisor to consult and gain approval.

Requirements:
  • College or University degree in Accounting, Business, or other Finance-related subjects or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a complex financial management environment
  • A good listener and problem solver
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Customer needs focus
  • Good language skills in English, both written and verbal
