Job Description

A well-established commercial services company is seeking an Account Executive to develop and generate new business opportunities. The ideal candidate has a background in sales and commercial services along with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Working cross-functionally, the new leader will achieve sales & profit goals through strategic leadership, communication, and implementation of sales strategies with a strong commitment to ethical business practices and compliance.

Location: San Jose, CA
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Generate sales and profits for the company using professional selling methodology and software. Maintain working knowledge of competitive pricing strategies in the market.
  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to generate new clients and expand current clients. Develop a marketing plan that supports strategic initiatives.
  • Email targeting and telemarketing to generate potential prospects based on leads provided to the company by third party vendor.
  • Network with business professionals and circle of influence to generate prospects and leads.
  • Establish a daily and weekly business development schedule to meet and exceed performance plans.
  • Work directly with CEO to establish individual activity and result expectations.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from networking, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet websites, and other sources.
  • Gather requirements from prospects and customers, interact with other company departments to finalize proposal details, and present proposals to prospective customer.
  • Negotiate fees, close sales orders, and obtain signed contracts with the CEO's assistance with pricing approval.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Build business partnerships by maintenance of clients with regards to corporate relocation needs. Make follow-up visits to clients to ensure satisfaction with company services and maintain on-going client relationships with existing customers.
  • Create and modify (as necessary) work orders into software platform in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work with the Accounting Team to produce weekly billing for prior week's completed projects.
  • Review accounts periodically to ensure profitability, adjust fees and pricing structures as required with CEO's approval.
  • Schedule and conduct periodic service audits to ascertain levels of client service.
  • Obtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective customers and existing customers. Perform data entry into client tracking software to maintain up to date records.
  • Produce sales reports on personal activity as requested by the CEO. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in sales and related projects or a combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience in using Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Docusign, Zoom videoconferencing, Microsoft Office products, electronic mail / scheduling systems
  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to successfully and positively develop effective working relationships between staff, leaders, and clients
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and demonstrates initiative to meet customers' needs
  • Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
