Job Description

A large multi-specialty clinic system is looking for a Project Manager to oversee internal clinical initiative projects. The ideal candidate is a project management expert with a strong knowledge of standard PMO practices, methodologies, project metrics, and KPIs. Working cross-functionally, the new team member will deliver strategic value and scalable growth by meeting project requirements and high-quality standards while ensuring project efficiency and continuous process improvement and maintaining an environment of creativity & innovation.
                
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Contract (6-8 months)
Pay: $50-60/hour 

Responsibilities: 
  • Foster a culture of project management and process improvement by managing cross-functional initiatives across the organization that deliver strategic value and scalable growth throughout the organization.
  • Provide oversight to strategic projects.
  • Supports and completes multiple, concurrent projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to understand their project goals, tasks and deadlines.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project utilizing project management tools, templates, and software.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (equivalent experience includes 4 years in a project management related role in addition to below experience requirements)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management roles or directly managing/leading projects 
  • Strong knowledge of standard PMO practices, methodologies, project metrics and KPIs
  • Experience supporting project assessments, root cause analysis, and deep dives on problem projects to get them back on track
  • Experience in business process (re)design
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen and financial acumen
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
  • Think broadly and strategically, including the ability to translate long-term goals and objectives into short-term tactical plans and operational activities
  • Collaborate and support individuals and teams in process excellence, project management, problem solving, stakeholder engagement, and value creation to drive toward outcomes
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • Project Management related degree
    • PMP Certification
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
    • Demonstrated success leading projects in a hospital operations environment, working with cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrated history of excellent facilitation and influence skills, working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
    • Experience managing complex projects where deadlines and scope shift frequently; demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
    • Deep experience in both transactional (e.g., business processes) and operational environments
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize large scale cross-functional projects and teams using lean six sigma and project management methodologies 
    • Maintain a safe environment, where everyone feels respected, empowered, and free to express their constructive thoughts and feelings 
    • Foster an environment of creativity and innovation, focusing on the empowerment and support of staff through tools and continuous process improvement
    • Able to influence results without direct authority in a matrixed environment, with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors
